These terms cover your use of Watterson Software's services and website. Plain version: we do our job, you use the work as intended, we're both honest about it.

Acceptance of Terms

Using our services or completing a purchase means you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. We may update these terms occasionally — the effective date above reflects the most recent revision.

Description of Services

Watterson Software currently offers two products:

  • Watterson Leads — researched cold email prospect lists delivered as a CSV file. Each row includes business contact info, a specific observation about that business pulled from their website, a draft subject line, and a draft opening line. You write the pitch.
  • Watterson SMS — automated missed-call SMS response software for service businesses. Currently in limited availability pending carrier registration.

Payment Terms

All prices are in USD. Payments are processed through Stripe. Your order is confirmed once payment clears — you'll receive a confirmation email within 2 hours and your CSV within 48 hours of order confirmation.

We don't offer payment plans or invoicing at this time. All sales are final except as described in the Refund Policy below.

Refund Policy

First order guarantee: If more than 10% of rows in your CSV don't meet the quality bar — meaning the observation is generic, the subject line doesn't reference something real, or the opening line isn't usable — we'll refund your order in full. Email within 7 days of delivery with specific examples and we'll make it right.

Beyond the first order, refunds are issued at our discretion if we fail to deliver the agreed product on time or at the agreed quality level. We don't guarantee reply rates, open rates, or any downstream business outcome — we guarantee the quality of the research we deliver.

SMS Messaging Terms

Watterson SMS sends automated messages on behalf of our business clients to individuals who called that business and didn't reach them. By calling a business that uses Watterson Software, you may receive an automated SMS follow-up from that business.

  • Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never sold, shared, or rented to third parties for marketing purposes.
  • Message frequency varies based on user interaction — typically 2–8 messages per conversation.
  • Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan.

Limitation of Liability

We're responsible for delivering what we sold. We're not responsible for what you do with the leads list, or for email deliverability, reply rates, conversions, or any business outcome downstream from using our product.

Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid for the specific order in question.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Any disputes will be resolved in Lane County, Oregon.
